In what is expected to be one of the most competitive Class 4A state tournaments, and with an impressive depth of unseeded opponents there are no layup quarterfinals.
Top-seeded Park Center will face a conference foe in Andover, which it edged 97-91 during the regular season. Second-seeded Lakeville North gets a Buffalo squad that swept Hopkins. Wayzata’s reward for earning the No. 3 seed is a date with a White Bear Lake team that went 15-3 in the always competitive Suburban East Conference.
The Class 4A tournament has the chance to truly put the madness into March.
The Class 4A quarterfinals and half of the Class 2A quarterfinals will be held at Target Center, with the other quarterfinals taking place at Williams Arena.
All semifinals and finals will be played at the home arena of the Timberwolves and Lynx and will be televised locally on KSTC-Channel 45. The quarterfinals will be streamed on prepspotlight.tv/MSHSL.
Full brackets including consolation and third-place information can be found on the MSHSL website. Brackets will be updated here daily throughout the tournament.
