Halloween takes over the City of Angels with celebrations for all ages throughout October. From mazes and pumpkin patches to themed bars and frightful immersive experiences, find the remedy for any spooky season craving below.

For theater-fanatics or people who just enjoy chaos, Drunk Dracula is more than enough to keep anyone entertained. Watch as the world’s most infamous vampire drinks more than he should while attempting to remain on track with his story. This also marks The Drunk Shakespeare Society’s first-ever L.A. residency at The Hotel Cafe.

Reimagined for 2026, the annual Night of the Jack elevates its signature mile-long trail of lights and pumpkins with a full-blown carnival. Find the way through a hay maze or even get a palm reading by a Calabasas psychic, but be sure to finish off the festivities with eats from L.A.’s top food trucks or a drink from the Spookeasy bar.

Every fall, Descanso Gardens transforms for Carved, where its gardens are decorated with seasonal art installations and sculptures. For the first time, it will also host a trick-or-treat event on the evening of Halloween, which is included with regular admission.

For the first time ever, guests are permitted to descend into the underground of the largely untouched St. Vincent Medical Center. The line between history and modern day becomes blurred throughout the tour. Upstairs, the Hospital of Emotions presents art installations alongside the hospital’s ghosts and spirits, with a special installation in the Compassion section for Día de los Muertos.

For family-friendly fun, this pumpkin patch is packed with different activities and attractions, like a petting zoo, bouncy castles and a straw maze. Don’t miss out on the special Día de los Muertos celebration, occurring on Oct. 25.

Oct. 3

Historic Old Torrance hosts its annual non-profit event made for families to enjoy. Wander through the festive ambience, check out the marketplace for seasonal goodies and come dressed in costume to enjoy Trunk or Treat, where kids can trick-or-treat from decorated car trunks.

Hollywood Forever Cemetery Living History Tour

This guided tour brings forward the hidden scandals within Hollywood’s history by highlighting the early pioneers of L.A.’s booming entertainment industry. Featuring over 20 early movie stars, filmmakers and even a dog, the Hollywood Forever Cemetery brings the foundation of Hollywood to life through historian narration and live actor performances.

Haunted Soiree

Take on the role of uncovering the secrets of the mysterious Autumn Society throughout an immersive night of music, ghost stories and games. Set to a true crime theme, the Haunted Soiree places guests inside an engrossing act of live theatre that brings haunting history to life.

Wilson Park in Torrance offers a night of Halloween spirit and relaxation. Before Toy Story 5 begins at 6:30 p.m., enjoy a costume parade and cast a vote for the best pumpkin carving.

Oct. 16, 17, 23, 24

Street Food Cinema is back with its annual 21+ Halloween series. Haunted trails, themed cocktails and food, an adult trick-or-treat and a seasonal marketplace take place alongside film double features, uniquely picked for each night. Depending on one’s taste, guests can attend the Gen-Z cult favorites Jennifer’s Body and Bodies, Bodies, Bodies or stick to classics like A Nightmare on Elm Street and Wes Craven’s New Nightmare.

Get the know-all on one of film’s most popular monsters through this day-long vampire extravaganza. Attendees can view some of the most iconic bloodsucking movies and learn how to add some movie magic to their own Halloween costume through the vampire blood and makeup special effects workshops.
