SFO flights facing 49-minute delays due to weather and low ceilings

Weather and low ceilings triggered a traffic management program at San Francisco International Airport Sunday, resulting in average arrival delays of 49 minutes, according to data provided by the Federal Aviation Administration’s Air Traffic Control System Command Center.

The status information updated Sunday morning reflects general airport conditions rather than flight-specific schedules. Travelers have been advised to check with their individual airlines to determine if their flights are affected.

Because the traffic management program is delaying arriving flights, general departing flight schedules may also be affected. Meanwhile, general arrival traffic is experiencing airborne delays of 15 minutes or less.
